Bryan Schachter, Director of Strategic Investments
Bryan Schachter joined Watermark and The Freshwater Group in 2006 as the wellness initiative coordinator — all while he was still a student at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. He continued to advance through the ranks and soon transitioned to the role of analyst in 2008.
Bryan currently manages Watermark’s investments, including acquisitions, developments, redevelopments and dispositions performing financial and market feasibility as well as joint venture, loan and sale negotiations. Since 2011, The Freshwater Group/Watermark has closed 36 separate transactions with total deal capitalization of more than $2.7 billion and has approximately $700 million in the current pipeline. From those transactions, the company’s portfolio has grown from seven to 63 communities located across 21 states, including developments and redevelopments that are currently underway.
Bryan brings a finely tuned acumen for executing financial transactions in the senior living industry, as well as expert knowledge and his broad and evolving experience for the changing industry. More importantly, he truly enjoys his work and remains committed to making a profound impact each day.
Bryan graduated in 2007 from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with specialization in marketing and entrepreneurship.
