Looking Ahead

With a new brand, a fabulous team assembled and eight community acquisitions and the sale of five community under its belt, The Freshwater Group and its sister operating firm Watermark are now primed to move forward on select opportunities to reposition and expand existing communities. Challenging economic times create unprecedented opportunities for companies that specialize in buying and repositioning assets. The Freshwater Group and Watermark are poised to capitalize on its 20 year track record of turning around assets. TFG is in negotiation for the purchase of three large-scale senior living communities that will close in late-2008 and 2009.

TFG is also committed to developing a select few new senior living communities that embody David’s vision for the future of the industry.  Using the Seven Dimensions of Wellness as a guide, TFG and Watermark continue to explore new models that address the housing, hospitality, healthcare, and overall wellbeing of America’s aging population.  By putting more emphasis on the things that matter to residents and their families and less on traditional modes of operation, TFG and Watermark are on a quest to create different and better experiences for each resident they serve.

Just as The Freshwater Group continues to grow and reach for what’s possible, so is the Freshwater’s young son, Fernando growing like a weed, climbing, running, jumping and talking up a storm. David and Diana would like to think that the training is now nearly complete (meaning that Fernando now has the two of them almost fully trained.) However, they have learned that in life, as in business, there’s always something new right around the corner. The learning never ends. We’re all very excited to discover what’s next.
